Cabbage Slaw

Serves 4


  • 1 small head of Napa or cabbage of your choice, shredded
  • 1 bunch green onions, sliced
For The Dressing:
  • ¼ cup unseasoned rice vinegar (Note: if you have seasoned rice vinegar, omit the honey)
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 2 tbsp toasted sesame oil or olive oil
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 2 tsp minced fresh ginger
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes, jalapeño, or serrano chili, minced
  • Salt and pepper, to taste


To make the dressing, combine all the dressing ingredients in a small bowl. Dip a piece of cabbage into the dressing and taste, adjusting seasoning as needed. In a large bowl, toss the dressing with the cabbage and green onion, and serve.
