Sandy has a midwestern childhood, born and raised in a Chicago suburb. Her family moved to San Rafael, California in the late 60's. After high school, she continued her education at Stephens College (AA Degree), in Columbia, Missouri, University of Redlands, Redlands,CA (BA Degree), Dominican College, San Rafael, (Elementary Credential), California College of Arts and Crafts, Oakland (Secondary Credential in Art), and various enrichment courses at Santa Rosa Junior College.
Sandy's career includes teaching in a private school in Oakland, selling fine shoes at I. Magnin's in San Francisco, owning an American Handcrafts Gallery in Sausalito for 10 years, managing an Artist's Guild in Sonoma, performing public relations and special events duties for Carmenet Vineyard, Sonoma, for 8 years, then turning her energies to assist 5 family members.
Sandy is currently very involved with her church in San Rafael, is a volunteer and serves on the Board at Food for Thought Food Bank, as well as a volunteer at Guide Dogs for the Blind in San Rafael since 2000.
