Food Drives

Help With Food Drives!

FFT hosts food drives at grocery stores all around Sonoma County. Volunteers are needed greet shoppers with “wish lists” of our most needed items and enthusiastically accept donations as people exit.  Volunteers who have larger trucks, vans or cargo space are needed to help collect full bins at the end of each food drive and transport them back to Food For Thought.

Our food drive program tripled in 2023, returning to its pre-covid level and keeping pace with the rising cost of food.

How You Can Make a Difference in 2024

~ Donate Food Items: Contribute essentials like peanut butter, oatmeal, and more to help us stock the pantry.
~ Volunteer Your Time: Lend a hand at one of our food drives.
~ Spread the Word: Share our mission with your network to amplify our impact.
~ Financial Contributions: Every donation helps us to procure and distribute more food items to families.

Every action, big or small, contributes to the success of our mission. Let’s work together to keep the momentum going and make 2024 another year of unparalleled support and generosity.

Food Drive shifts are generally from 10am-12:30pm, 12:30pm-3pm, and 3pm-5pm during each event. Pick a day and time that works for you and sign up to help out!

*We can create a special food drive for your group based on your timing and location OR you can “Adopt” one of our existing drives staffing it with your members.
