Dave was hired for the Food Program and Facilities Manager in 2012. He brings a wide variety of skills, technical knowledge, organization and service to Food For Thought. He has worked in every aspect of the grocery business.
His experience includes over 25 years in the grocery industry, starting as a box boy in a small grocery store in Davis where he was born and raised, then in Sacramento for Bel Air Markets. While in the grocery industry, he worked in many positions, including courtesy clerk, checker and grocery manager.
Dave came to Food For Thought in 2009, first volunteering at the antique auction. Being of service is very important to Dave, and having the opportunity to volunteer at the Food For Thought has been a bright spot each week.
He loved it and wanted to do more. Since then, he has been a regular weekly volunteer in the food bank, at special events and as the photographer where needed.
Dave moved to Santa Rosa in 2007 and started his own business as a photographer, computer trainer, and handyman.
In his free time, Dave gardens, works on old houses, hikes, and enjoys spending time with family and friends. He is a cheetah photographer at Safari West and has a keen interest in landscape and portrait photography.
