Calabash - A Celebration of Gourds, Art and the Garden
Sunday October 7 from 1 - 5pm
Food For Thought, in collaboration with the Occidental Arts and Ecology Center, present the 12th annual CALABASH - one of Sonoma County’s most colorful and inspiring Harvest events. Calabash features a silent auction of fine gourd art, along with tours of Food For Thought’s beautiful organic gardens which will be at their peak.
Guests at Calabash enjoy a sumptuous array of fine food and wine from Sonoma County’s bountiful harvest, and live music played on hand-made gourd instruments. This year, Calabash will also feature a sale of select garden art and an exclusive selection from Food For Thought Antiques.
More than 100 Sonoma County and Bay Area artists have been invited to participate in Calabash this year, bringing their own artistic sensibilities and magic to the gourd form. Gourds harvested from the food bank’s gardens are offered to the artists who then create captivating and unique pieces for this unique and very popular West County fundraiser.
Purchase Tickets - Tickets are $45 in advance and can be purchased at the Food Bank, by phone at 707-887-1647, and on our Make a Donation web page. Note: if purchasing online, please write "Calabash tickets" in the Comments field on the donation form. Tickets will be available the day of the event for $50 at the door.
