Allen came to Food For Thought as a garden volunteer in 2004. He had worked in Southern California as a container garden and interior plant display specialist before relocated to Sonoma County. Volunteering in the food bank gardens led to joining the staff as the part time Volunteer Coordinator for one year. That year the food bank inherited the FFT Antique Store and Allen became the manager for Food For Thought’s new adventure in fund raising. Using his customer skills and display experience from the interior design world for 30 years, he has worked to make FFT Antiques a profitable and gratifying experience. Allen, and his ever-present dog Jac, now live in Occidental and love being in the redwoods.
